 Heartfelt Moments

*      The next time you are overwhelmed, meditate within your heart on your bed and be still and wait to hear from God.

*      Introduce yourself and get acquainted with a new person here at the retreat (someone you don't know).

*      Take time to reflect on your current priorities and see if they reflect your inner values.

*      Count your blessings - make a list of 25.

*      Go for a walk along the beach and bring back an interesting seashell to remind you that God has many creative and beautiful ways to accomplish his purposes in your life.

*      Read the bible story of Esther to learn about the power of a beautiful woman who was willing to sacrifice her life to save her people.

*      Write your own personal prayer of praise and say it to God.

*      Take a short break this afternoon for a minute of meditation and mental refreshment.

*      Write out your goals for the week, the month, and the year.

*      Sing a happy song the next time you take a shower.

*      Ask a friend to help hold you accountable about a temptation that troubles you.

*      Find someone you're grateful to and write them a thank you note.

*      Send a post-card to 5 people that would love to hear from you.

*      Make a list of successes you would like to achieve.  Pray about the list.

*      Write for 20 minutes without stopping about a time when God brought unexpected joy in your life.

*      Think about what makes a good friendship and write about it in your journal.

*      Make an appointment to spend some time with a friend you haven't seen in a while.

*      Reread a favorite novel that comforts your heart.

*      Make a list of 3 things you really appreciate about your husband.  Then tell him what those 3 things are.

*      List 20 things you enjoy doing and then do one of them.

*      Make a list of people you need to forgive.  Write a letter of forgiveness to at least one of them.

*      Do one small thing to cultivate a good quality in your life that you admire in another.

*      Memorize a psalm of praise, perhaps Psalm 117.

*      Write a member of your family, sharing why you value them.

*      Try a new restaurant for a change.

*      Develop a friendship with someone new.

*      Write your worries in the sand at the beach.

*      Write a list of things you need to let go of in your life, tear it up and let them go!

*      Personalize a bible promise for a challenging situation for example "God will keep me in perfect peace in ___________________________________ because my mind is stayed on him" (fill in the blank).

*      Get together with friends for "Tea and Talk".

*      Do your best and let God do the rest.

*      Be thankful for life as it is, rather than as you wish it could be.

*      Relax and be easier on yourself and others.

*      Paint a peaceful scene -- in your imagination.

*      Give 5 people a LOVING hug today.

*      Pray for someone else's needs.

*      Redefine your definition of perfection to include the beauties of imperfection.

*      Seek your heart's deepest desires.

*      Make commitments and stick with them.

*      Face the future with courage and hope.
